Initial Research Pathway

Me and Yi Han have the same idea for this topic due to our passion and interest in motorcycles. I used to ride a CB400 Super Four Revo while Yi Han currently owns and ride one.     Yi Han and Zaki both did a general google search on this bike. The articles we found are mostly from website articles, youtube videos. We did not just limit our search to the CB400 VTEC system, we searched up on how VTEC generally works to get a better idea of just the system itself, before we branch onto the motorcycle side. Zaki did a general search on google, and he found 3 articles explaining how VTEC as a system works, along with 1 video explaining how VTEC works. Yi Han obtained 3 articles and 1 video explaining how the CB400 VTEC works.      Using Chat.gpt, the team obtained a summary of how VTEC differs between motorcycle and cars. We also obtained a summary of how the VTEC system on its own, operates.

Descriptive Reflection (Formal Introductory Letter)

Subject: Descriptive Reflection Dear Prof. Blackstone,     My Name is Muhammad Zaki, but people normally just address me as Zaki. I'm a Mechanical Engineering student attending your Critical Thinking and Communication Class. I graduated from Singapore Polytechnic(SP) with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. My interest in Engineering begins ever since I started riding a Motorcycle, which slowly develops into an interest of tinkering/repairing/fixing of the motorcycle, which includes general knowledge of how a motorcycle engine works.       My strength which I am proud of   is that I take an active role in listening. What this means is that I tend to listen and allow others to speak first or provide their POV before providing my input. This is so that whatever I am about to say, I have already taken into account their argument/point and I can craft my sentence around that. This helps to bring the discussion forward and provide meaningful ins...
Quote Interpretation “While all engineers should have good communication skills, global engineers face additional challenges, making effective communication an imperative.” Debra Kraft, Careers Content Writer, Demand Media (2016)     With the world becoming more and more connected to each other through the World-Wide web, it is imperative that Engineers have good communication skill. The language barrier will always pose a challenge to Engineers, especially when English isn't the first language spoken by both engineers. This would bring about issues like mis-communication, where information can't be delivered effectively. As a  result, work time will be longer as more time will be spent in the translation and interpretation of the instructions given. An example would be Engineer A would interpret the instruction differently from  Engineer B, resulting in both engineer doing 2 separate things based on their understand of the given langua...
