Summary/Thesis first draft

 The Webpage "What is Honda vtec and how it works" (Alex Hevesy, 2023) introduces the concept of VTEC(Variable Vale Time and Electronic Lift Control), which are mainly used in the Japanese's automotive maker, Honda. VTEC makes use of rocker arms and camshaft to control the power which the engine is outputting. Principally, at low RPMs, the rocker arms are engaged with the camshaft lobes which are of a less aggressive profile, which in this case of the article, 2/3 of the rocker arms are engaged to the camshaft. Higher RPMs would see all 3 rocker arms on each cylinder fully engaged and performing at its peaked potential. VTEC was essentially made with the idea of maximising your mileage(Km/L) while still ensuring the vehicle is still able to eke out every bit of performance that is available in the engine thru the activation/deactivation of the rocker arms and camshafts. VTEC is truly an engineering marvel, and continues to be a step ahead of its competitors, bridging the gap between street and track(Performance) in the same engine.

Zaki's Critical Reflection

           I've always though that a communication modules are a waste of time. It stems from the mindset that "I'm an Engineer, why do i need to do presentation". Personally, i do admit that my grammar does require polishing, and that presenting has always been a weak suite of mine. Going through this 13 weeks, when i heard that we have to present formally in front of the class, truth be told, i was nervous. However, as the saying goes "Life has to go on, don't give up", i can't dwell on the fear of presentation, and to just get it done.           By going through 13 weeks of this critical thinking and communication module, there have been many valuable things and experience that i have learnt and picked up.
